While Kitchens and Baths are our true passion, we do often include accompanying spaces like kitchenettes, butlers pantries or working kitchens, storage pantries, wet bars, laundry rooms, and mudrooms. However, we do not currently take furnishings only projects like living rooms or bedrooms . We do highly recommend Sarah&Sons Interiors Collection service if you’re looking for something of a similar style and quality to our own packages.

If you have any issues with your packages final delivery such as a broken link, details that don’t seem to line up, or you feel something is missing, we are absolutely always available to make sure you get what you need. If you require more complex help, such as problem solving something with your contractor, support re-selecting a product, or would like the ability to have access to us to provide on-demand support through construction we offer our Remote Service option.

We require a 20% deposit to hold your design time on our schedule. After the approval of your concept a 60% payment is due to complete the detailed design work. After design approval, the 20% balance is due to release your full design package with all deliverables.

We do not currently travel for projects outside of Chicagoland. If you are local to Chicago, we can create a custom package for you depending on the services and meetings you would prefer to conduct in person. If you’re looking for a more hands on experience you may want to consider our full-service option.

The communication style for packages is intentionally flexible for clients depending on their preferences, schedules and comfort with technology. The sync-up meeting is the only mandatory "face to face" meeting I require for clients in the design process. If your are completing this process with a partner, I find that there is a lot more project success if both partners are present at the meeting to make sure all opinions and needs are heard and addressed. For feedback meetings, it is up to you to choose how to provide your notes whether it be through email, a recorded presentation of your own (we suggest Loom) or a scheduled virtual meeting.

Most home vendors still operate in a traditional capacity where discounts are only offered if designers are purchasing on behalf of clients. To keep our packages affordable, we do not offer purchasing services so we are often unable to pass along any discounts. However, these discounts are often available to builders, contractors, and tradespeople as well so if hiring anyone for your project it is good to ask how they handle purchasing and trade discounts.

We are continuously working to source vendors who offer non-traditional trade discounts ( typically these are structured like affiliate marketing common among influences ) and if your design includes such venders, we will absolutely provide you with the details to receive a discount on your products.

We totally understand. While we tried our hardest to make our prices as accessible as possible, we know we can’t reach everyone and still operate our business successfully.
